Old CDs/DVDs recycled into polycarbonate
Old CDs/DVDs, obsolete technology. We recycle CDs/DVDs into the valuable raw material polycarbonate (RPC).
Polycarbonate is used in a variety of products, such as eyeglass lenses, electronic components and even automotive parts. The material is thermally resistant to 130°C, transparent, strong and flame-resistant.
By recycling CDs/DVDs, we can reduce waste and save resources while creating new materials for industry. So the next time you have a pile of old CDs/DVDs, remember that they can have a second life as polycarbonate.
01. Collect CDs/DVDs
You can help collect CDs/DVDs as an individual or a business. You will receive a fee per kg. How you can help >
02. Grinding and washing
CDs/DVDs are ground into flakes. The flakes are washed clean to pure flakes. You can order this regrind material from us. Request a quote for this.
03. Extrusion process
The PC Regrind Transparent is then extruded into PC Pellets Transparent. You can order this PC Pellets Transparent from us. Request a quote.
04. Injection molding
Regranulate granules are used as raw material for injection molding, resulting in a high-quality end product.

We supply PC Regrind Transparent and PC Pellets Transparent and/or take care of the realization of your final product (the injection molding process). A mold of your own can be used!

Our plant is equipped to not only process CDs/DVDs into recycled polycarbonate raw material (RPC), but we also have the injection molding process in-house.
We can design a mold for you, or you can provide your own mold. Our development team is happy to help you!
END PRODUCT
In our injection molding plant we realize various finished products. You can think of candle holders (where heat resistance is a requirement), but jewelry holders are also among the possibilities. All products have one thing in common, heat resistant and very strong.
